Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Processor: Intel when i open a word document i receive, the view is 2 page to the screeen, this is too hard to read, i want i page per scren, how do i default it to this to make my reading easier

Adjust the Zoom on the document, then save it.

Each document opens at the zoom ratio it was last saved at.

Word 2008 does not give you a way to specify a default size. Older versions
of Word enable you to use a macro to set the zoom, but Word 2008 has no
macros.

Cheers

opened a document that presented at 2 pages, i zoomed it from 100% to 150% saved it to desktop, then when i open it on desktop it is correct 1 page 150%

BUT if I go to the email attachment, and open it, then it is 2 pages per view

So their is no way i can change the default to open any FUTURE document at 150% so its 1 page per view.

Cant believe you cant set it, amazing

As John suggested, the instructions on how to display it are built into the
document based on what the creator intended, not what the recipient might
prefer :) Assign a keyboard shortcut to the ViewZoomPageWidth and/or the
ViewZoomWholePage command, use them whenever necessary.

Well, if you were using Word 2004 or any Windows version of Word, then yes,
you could set it. I do.

But in Mac Word 2008, that's one of several useful things it can't do.

The next version of Word WILL fix it: VBA is coming back.

Check the Microsoft Mactopia page regularly for announcements: then you will
know before we do.

And don't believe anyone who "tells" you: Those who know are not allowed to
say; those who say, don't know :)

Cheers

when is next version of useful word coming out maybe they will fix it
