£ sign displayed incorrectly in recieved emails

I have recently changed to outlook 2003 and am experiencing a problem with
recieved emails. When the sender sends a £ sign in the text I recieve a y
sign any ideas or solutions to this problem

I've suddenly got the same problem but I'm still using Outlook 2002.
Pound sign displays as ý incoming emails but I can type a pound on the
keyboard normally £
Did you find a solution anywhere?
