2 E-mails (Doubles) Received When "Receiving All" in Office 2004

Jonathan

I recently upgraded to Office 2004 and I'm wondering why I get
2-copies of every new e-mail received when Entourage does a "Receive
All." I set-up my acc'ts the same way I set up Office X. Any ideas?

Michael,

I have 2 accounts on the server each containing 5 POP3 email.

I have 6 email addresses working.

Entourage for example see's there 1 mail coming in but in the view pane
mostly 5 are displayed(sometimes 4,3)...I tried sending mails on my
different email addresses but the results are the same with all my email
addresses.

It only works (I mean 1 copy of the mail getting in) when only 1 email
address(default or other) is activated in the "including this account in my
all send en receive schedule." so I guess It has something to do with it but
I reinstalled but It still stays the same.

I tried making an new schedule with all send & receive but the results were
the same.

So...any suggestion would be nice because it's a bit complicated when I
recieve 5 mails ...and sometimess more....:) further on I would say that
this version is way better for spam it really doesn't miss out on any spam
mail

Michael,

I have 2 accounts (sorry Michael this had to be the word "mailboxes") on the
server each containing 5 POP3 email.
I have 6 email addresses working.

I found out how to fix this annoying email duplicate problem.

When you have 2 mailboxes (each containing 5 email addresses) at your
internet provider (depending on your internet connection of course)

you take 2 email addresses from each mailbox (the ones on top for example)

and only those 2 email addresses you have to put in your "include this
account in my send & receive all schedule" and all the other email addresses
.....you don't wink them as it was in office X and you will receive only one
copy of each mail you get in ....

Hope I've been clear enough ...

If not let me know I'll help you out further

Hi Frank,

Thanks for the info. Before we get into to the troubleshooting though,
let's clarify the accounts one more time. Within Entourage, if you select
Tools -> Accounts, how many accounts are listed?

Thanks again,
Michael

Hi Michael,

In my case 6 are listed.(5 in one mailbox and 1 in the second mailbox)

That's why I had 5 duplicates but in the new entourage you only have to
activate 1 of the accounts per mailbox in the schedules to get them all
in,but now it works fine.
