2 items in "deleted items" folder won't delete, and it's causing other problems

Hi Folks!

this is driving me nuts. i'm on a G5, running panther, and i'm using
Entourage X. i can't delete (or even see for that matter) 2 items in
the program's " deleted items" folder. i click on the folder, and i see
nothing in there. if i send files to the trash, i can see them, just
not these "2". running the schedule to delete doesn't work either.

i sometimes get a 4632 error, but it's not applying to this. that tells
me to shut off my "database daemon", but i can't even find it. and it
doesn't sound like that's the problem anyhow as i get an error message
that has no numbers as well.

Another problem this is causing is it's taking a block of e-mails in
the "inbox" folder, and i can't see them. it ends up telling me there's
a mail error, and then usually quitting on me.

i can't seem to find anything online about it, which brings me here. if
i lose these e-mails, it will really screw me up. really. any help
would be appreciated! thanks!

I would highly suggest backing up your current identity and try to perform a
rebuild using the Database Utility. You can manually run it from the
"Office" folder, or if you hold down Option when you launch Entourage, it
will launch the Utility. I would try a typical rebuild, and if that fails or
doesn't fix the issue, try the advanced rebuild.

Check out http://www.entourage.mvps.org/database/rebuild.html for more
detailed instructions.

Do you mean error 4362 instead? That is eFILE_MGR_ACCESSING_INVALID_BLOCK,
and indicates there is some problem with the database, generally requiring
some kind of rebuild.

Hey!

i back up everyday since the last rebuild i did a year ago didn't
work. but the copy i backed up has these 2 in them.

definitely error 4632. well, i was almost positive. now i can't get the
number to come up. i'll try the rebuild and let you know what happens.
thanks!
