2000 and 2003 Powerpoint, will it work together?

I am working in an office that uses ppt. 2003 and have created a presnetation
for a group that we now discovered uses ppt. 2000. The color bar at the top
of all of the slides shows up fine on our version but when sent to the 2000
users shows a white box with a red x in it.

Is this an issue caused from a 2003 -2000 incompatibility problem, or likely
something else?

To ensure compatibility, within 2003, click on Tools, Options. Under the
Edit tab, check all 3 boxes to Disable New Features.

2002/2003 have the same features.

Am I to do this process with the 2000 or 2003 version? Will it, in theory,
solve my issue of the picture, jpeg, not showing up on the 2000 version?
