Hi everyone!

Is there a way to do a sort of "block replace" of categories in Outlook
2000? What I want to do is change items in a category called "Eastern
Ontario" to a category called "Eastern Ontario/Western Quebec". Needless to
say I don't want to have to open each contact individually and do it, if I
don't have to...

I don't really know how to program a macro or anything like that, so any
help you can provide would be gratefully accepted.

Thanks in advance!

Did you see Sue's answer to this same question 1 hour and 14 minutes before
your post?
Never hurts to look around before your post.

I did a newsgroup search on "category" and "categories" which brought 0
postings, so I asked.
Now can I have the answer?

Reposting from "Renaming Categories" just 5 posts earlier than yours:

Display the By Category view. Select all the items in the category you want
to change. Right-click, choose Categories, and make your change on the
Categories dialog.

The question had been asked a couple of times in the previous day as
well as on numerous other occasions. I had answered a very similar
question a little earlier as well. Your search engine may be letting
you (and us) down. Whose search engine did you use ? Did you search
just microsoft public newsgroups ?
