2002 upgrade changes images during uploads

I had a recent system crash on XP Pro...saved my
FrontPage 2000 website for my mineral specimen business,
only. Upgraded to 2002 and the site looked fine.
Thumbnail images expand to a reduced resolution image as
they did before.
Now when uploaded the thumbnails expand to huge, full
reolution views. There are many hundreds of images on the
site. I am a rookie who wrote the entire webpage
manually. Is there a simple solution I am overlooking?

Resize your original images in an image editor before you import them into your web and use them
