2003 beta; trouble with internal hyperlinks

I find that hyperlinks to other slides in same 15mb 75
slide presentation doc, that were added after a certain
point don't work. When editing the failing hyperlinks
the screen tips are still there, but the target slide
selection is gone--can't successfully repair or replace.
But older identical hyperlinks in same doc continue to
work OK. Is there some kind of ceiling on number of
hyperlinks in the same doc? If not, what?

Possibility, that your exceeding the 64k resource limit that Microsoft sets for storing all this stuff. Things like long filenames, paths, really use up these resources very quickly.

This describes pretty much the same thing as Michael mentioned (note that
the upper limit is 32k worth of hyperlink data for all practical purposes -
half the 64k he mentions is already allocated for other stuff.)
