2003 linked ODBC connection to DB2 UDb converts Date datatype to t

Eoor does not occur in older Access 97 linked tables using same ODBC drivers
from IBM (iSeries). Also, Excell 2003 correctly interprets Date datatype
fields as date when data is merged into spreadsheeet. SQL Server Reporting
Services interface via Visual Studio 2005 also types Date fields correctly
with same ODBC driver. Any ideas?
