2003 packaging for CD

When I try to package my presentation for CD it acts like it is going to then
gives the error message "The files cannot be copies. Try again or try
another CD". I have tried three CDs from a brand new box. I only bought
this computer/system yesterday and don't know where to start.

For the time being just use Package to Folder and then use your CD burning
software to move the contents of the folder to a CD.

Later on, when you have become more accustomed to the system, you may figure out
what the problem is. Frequently you'll get this message when trying to burn to
a CD-RW, but you can also get it if you are running some components of Easy CD
Creator.

Thank you for responding. While I was waiting I did try that method and
received the error "Windows encountered a problem while trying to copy the
file to the CD" any suggestions?

Did your PC come with Roxio or Nero? I would not use Windows to burn the CD.
Instead, use the CD burning software that your CD drive came with.

Ah ha, I looked in all programs and then did a search for either Roxio or
Nero nothing was found. Is one of these additional softwares required to
make Microsoft XP actually do some of the things it says it does? My
computer has a sticker on it that says "Watch and burn DVDs" it does not say
anything about needed some other software. Sorry to be so thick but this is
new to me.

What type of CD's are you using? What is imprinted on them? Are they CD-R or
CD-RW or something else? Have they been used before? What is the brand? Have
you/can you try a different brand?
