2003 Powerpoint freezes

My 2003 Powerpoint feezes if I leave a slide in place for a few minutes.If I
continually forward every minute or so, it works properly. I've only got 1
Printer loaded. I have XP Professional.

That's it! Thank you. I went through the Start Up programs one by one as
suggested. It was an Iomega back-up program that came bundled with
Retrospect. Express As soon as I deleted that, the PPT worked fine. Thanks
again.
