I use the month's view with my calendar.
Is there a way to have the calendar open to just a few weeks in the month?
As the weeks go bye, I don't need to keep viewing past weeks. By default it
will show the entire month.

Yes.

In that area in the bottom left which shows the month, click on a day
in the week you wish to start with and drag down until you've
highlighted the weeks you wish to view. They'll be displayed in the
Calendar.

By making that little frame wide enough or tall enough to show two
months, I can select and thus show from two to six weeks this way.

In a similar way, you can select from 1 to 7 consecutive days to
display in the calendar--e.g., the next 7 days. This seems to work
correctly only if Week or Month is selected in the tool bar up top. If
Day or Work Week is selected, it seems not to show the last two days
I've selected. E.g., if I click Day or Work Week, then click today
(1/16/05) in the little calendar and drag to 1/22, it'll display today
through 1/20. This seems weird. If I click on Week or Month, then click
and drag the same way, it shows all seven days. This can be useful.
