In future you might do better to check the Entourage FAQ page (URL in my
signature) or wait for a few more responses form people who have a wider
experience (you can usually tell from the way they write their answers).
People do try to be helpful here. But when they write "I've just had the
same problem" - neither they nor you can be sure that it was caused by what
they think it was caused by, so the fix might be different.
It's usually a bad idea to delete anything until you know you won't need it
again. If simply moving it out of a default location is not good enough
(sometimes it isn't) stuff it and delete the original.
In this particular case, it wasn't the correct solution in any case - it was
simply a coincidence that one of his steps launched Entourage 2001
preventing 2004 from launching at the same time.
However, as long as you did not delete your identity data (and Remove Office
does not do that) you should be OK. There's really no particular reason why
you should need an older version of Entourage now that you have 2004, and it
_can_ confuse the system to have more than one, depending.
Your original message does not seem to be on the server with the same
subject, so I can't find it. Nor was it quoted in the replies. What exactly
is the problem you're having?
