The 'Add New Category' dialog in Outlook 2007 should be 'sticky' or
'persistent' ! This means that the dialog SHOULD NOT CLOSE after each
addition, but REMAIN OPEN with the focus set to immediately add another
category. This allows users to quickly and efficiently add several new
categories at once or even extremely long lists of categories, such as when
rebuilding a master category listing.
A facility for adding multiple categories quickly, is extremely useful to
users of both medium and large lists of categories. Older versions provided
this feature and allowed users to quickly add groups of categories.
Unfortunately, Outlook 2007 appears to 'dumb-down' this feature in a way that
will likely frustrate the many, many users who try to fully implement the
categories feature.
