I am trying to send press releases to 228 magazines and keep getting the
following error message on Entourage:

4.5.3 Too many recipients specified.

What is the problem?

I went to the site and downloaded the script buy my system does not recognize
the
".sit" extension. What do I need to do in order to install the script??

You need StufIt Expander, available free from Allume Systems.

You might need to download the disk image/dmg version to install on your
system. Once you've done that, you should be able to unstuff the script.
If you still have trouble, try re-downloading the .sit file and dragging it
directly onto the StuffIt Expander icon.
