a bookmarker for office word

Q

It would come in handy when you are reading long articles or long story's.
What I mean is that you're not gonna read a document with 600 pages in it at
once. A bookmarker would come in handy, wouldn't it?

It would be something like two button in one of the toolbars. One to place
the bookmark and an other to look the bookmarks up.

I hope it will be placed in the new versions of office.

What's wrong with the Bookmarks function that is already provided, been
there since at least Word 97?

Not exactly convenient for the OP purpose. But this could be alleviated
by two fairly simple macros.

Setting the bookmark is a couple of clicks and type the name, but F5 to look
one up is fairly simple, I think. And there's nothing to stop you putting
the existing add bookmark and goto bookmark functions onto a toolbar.

Oh I was looking for the option cause I thought there would be one but I
couldn't find it in my workbooks. That is why I entered this idea. But if
there already is such an option there is no need to ad a new one.

Thanks
