A cure for most of those occasional freezes some people have beenseeing...

There were a lot of reports when Tiger first came out that people were
seeing freezes for several seconds on a regular basis. Some of these were
due to Spotlight indexing, but others couldn't be tracked down or eliminated
at the time.

Apple has just released update 10.4.3 which is supposed to carry the cure
for this issue. It seems to have worked for me :)

The detailed release notes for 10.4.3 also mention some fixes that
correct stability issues for Word and Excel 2004...
