A picture within excel file/database

I am new to this and would welcome advise pls.
I will be creating a database of streets and houses in a local area ,about
500, and thought it would be nice to include a small Jpeg of each property
as you call up the infomation, say number 3 The Drive. Is this pracital
within Excel and how would one do it?

Is it ok to show the .jpg in the default program?

If yes, you may want to look at the worksheet function: =hyperlink().

When you click on the link, then the external program will start and your
picture will be shown.

If you want to include the small jpgs in the file, look at:
Insert|Picture|from file
