A program/template for cataloging my CD collection?

Unable to find a correct fit. I want to be able to catalog all my music CD's
and vinyl so that I can search by title, artist, year, genre, etc. I was led
to believe that Access was the program to do this since it was more versitle
than Excel. What would be ideal would be some software that would allow you
to read a music CD that is in the CD-ROM drive and extracting this data to
create a database that was user friendly. A utopian dream perhaps.

www.collectorz.com has a nice program that might work for you, they offer a
trial version of their software. I purchased the DVD movie program to track
my movies and I really like it, but they also have music databases. Its a
cool tracking program.
