A teaching program with PP and automation from Excel

Hi. I have made a huge collection of PP files for the purpose
of teaching new employees. However the screen will hang
after some time and I wonder why?.. and what can be done?

To organize all these files and keep track of how many files
have been showing to different audiences, I am writing a log
to a textfile where I write the file path and the time and date
the file was opened and closed. This is used for reports later
on.

Then In Excel I made a Userform with three Combo Listboxes.
The two first will indicate which Folder and subfolder to look in.
It is then part of the file path. Finally the third Combo Box lists
the pps files. A click on a button, starts a macro that will build
the path from the Combo Boxes to a string and then automate
Power Point to open the pps file.

This use to work, but now the PC will hang moore and moore
often. Anybody knows what I do wrong?
