Ability to customize slide layout

We spend a lot of time in our company improving the graphics of Power Point
presentations, because we are not able to use Microsofts standard slide
layouts. If we were able to customize the many different slide layouts, we
could customize them to our own graphical standards - that way we could save
a lot of time. It does not sound too complicated to open up for
customizations of slide layouts...is it?

Other than moving them around or changing colors, etc., you are stuck with
what Microsoft gives you regarding Layouts/Placeholders. You cannot create
your own or add placeholders to existng ones.

SORRY!

JLI,
What Bill Foley said. And I was as frustrated as most everyone is so I
wrote an addin that I think gets you mostly where you want to be by
creating "sort of placeholder shapes" in memory and allowing you to
add them from a custom menu or custom toolbars. It's not free but
those who are using it seem to like it a lot.

There's a downloadable demo at PPTools.com. Look for the ShapeStyles
addin.

Bill,

You mention that it is possible to move them around. Could you (or others)
tell me how I do that? E.g.: If I select Insert -> New Slide -> Text Layout
'Title & 2 column text' ... how would I fix it such that for the future the
two placeholders will appear further to the right on the slide?

BR,
Jesper
