ability to spell check disappeared suddenly (MAC)

I had to reinstall Office on my computer here at school (I teach). I
am running a Mac Blue & White G3 and Entourage version 5.0.1457.3.
The spell check feature worked fine until I removed the corrupted
version of Word and did the reinstall. Any ideas how to get the spell
check to run again?

There are spelling preferences in both Word and Entourage that have to
be set correctly. Have you checked both? In Entourage look under General
preferences, Spelling. I think in Word (don't want to bother opening it
right now) its in the same place. Make sure you check the "Dictionaries"
also, and set your language in Word to "None."
