about discussion boards FP03

What is the best way to create a discussion board in FP
2003? Are there any upgrades to easy things to add that
give it more effects. ie; for each new thread I'd like a
NEW label and I don't want the date time and name of
poster to appear slanted and do want them to appear with
every post.

The FP2003 DW is unchanged from prior versions
- best to create any DW as a subweb
