about running PPT in Mac OS 9.2.2 vs. 10.2.3: animation speed

I have been told by MS that PPT programs created in Mac OS 9.x are simply going to run slower in OS10.x -- sometime incredibely slower, like one-tenth the speed of 9.x -- and there is nothing I can do about that. Is this true? It causes enormous problems in shifting back and forth (DSL installed on the 10 side) but doing PPT business on the 9 side. Is this MS response true? PPT show in question is 925 slides long and cannot, at this point, be recreated over on the 10 side.

You might want to post this in the Mac PPT newsgroup, John.

will get you there.
