Accepting Tasks in Entourage

I just got a Mac for use at the work -- most everything has been
working fine except for Entourage 2004.

I have received a number of task requests in my inbox like I normally
did under Outlook 2003, but there's no toggle button for me to accept
or decline the task. What gives? Additionally, current tasks I had
completed or pending are not visible to me when I click on the "tasks"
button.

Is there any way to make Entourage talk to the Exchange server to
download the appropriate information?

Thanks in advance,

Check under View in the Menu bar. You probably have "incomplete tasks"
selected.

For some background info, please read " Entourage is not Outlook."

I am afraid that Entourage has NO capability to response to tasks as tasks
are not supported on the server but just locally.

As for the referred article, though Entourage is not Outlook for Mac, there
is nothing else to turn to. Microsoft could have sustained development of
Outlook 2001 and chose not to. Though they have indeed come a long way with
Entourage, Mac users continue to remain second-class people when it comes to
integrating into an Exchange server environment.

We have one department at our university who is switching from Mac to PC
computers based at least partially on the fact that the Mac users were
UNABLE to respond to tasks sent out by their boss.
