Access and the web

This is more a theoretical than practical question.

I've been using Access for over eight years to handle database issues on
several of my personal websites and a couple of non-profits...all with good
success and no real problems.

My question is, if using Access to simply serve pages, with little actual
writing to the database, except for registrations and checking security
levels for page access, does anyone have any feel for the traffic level
Access can support?

On my websites having other data requirements, such as forums and/or
surveys, they are supported their own Access database.

Since I've not had any significant problems in all these years, I'm not
looking to upgrade to SQL, but rather am curious about others thoughts and
experiences.

TIA.
