Access should have a spell checker and change case function.

In Access, a lot of data is being input. Thus, many words can easily get
misspelled and many of the misspelled words go unnoticed. Also, there needs
to be a Change Case function for individual cells and columns/rows. I had
many records that I pasted in from another document and then realized that
these records in the database need to be in Title Case. I then had to copy
the many records, paste them into Word, select Change Case and then select
Title Case. After that, I had to copy the data once again from Word and
paste it back into Access. Surely this would be an easy addition to Access
since Word and other programs already have this capability. Why not Access?

Suggest you send this suggestion to (e-mail address removed) and perhaps
they will take notice.

There are many 3rd party add-ins for spell check for Acces applications,
and perhaps via Google or books you can find techniques for using
Office's spell checking in Access.

There is a spellchecker in Access (Tools/Spelling). As for the ability
to change case, I'm sure there is an add-in for this out there. If
not, it would be easy enough to accomplish with a little VBA.

Actually, they (MS) have incorporated the ability to post application
Suggestions for Microsoft using the web interface for the newsgroups
on the MS site:
http://www.microsoft.com/office/community/en-us/default.mspx

Link for this post on the web interface:
http://www.microsoft.com/office/com...ec25eb-b0a5-47dd-ab5b-814bee1a1b69&sloc=en-us

The "Suggestion Wizard" has been incorporated in the Office 2003 Help
and can be found in various locations on the MS site.

The main reason for this is peer review, in case someone is making a
suggestion on a feature that is already available and so others can
vote on the suggestion. Microsoft has committed to responding to those
posts with the most votes.

They are working on making the Suggestion posts easier to identify for
NNTP users along with a link you can use to vote on the posted
Suggestion.
