Accessing other calendar

Hi,
we are working with an Exchange 2003 SP2 Server. We have Outlook (2003)
user and Entourage (Version 11.2...) users.
Now, an Entourage User want to see a calendar of an outlook user. It's
possible to choose the user from the global address book, but the
calendar of the outlook user can't be seen.
The rights for the Entourage user are correct set in Outlook.

What's going wrong?

If you select 'Open Other User's Folder..." from the file menu in entourage,
and select 'calendar' as the folder type, you should be able to view the
other person's calendar (assuming you have the correct privileges to view
that persons calendar).

Hi Barry,
sorry, I lied. We have Entourage 11.0.0 and my problem is, that I can't
see the Menu/Link "Open Other User's Folder..."
Is it because Entourage 11.0.0 doesn't support the feature to share
folders/calendar?

There is another problem. I can't see any public folders.

What can I do?

You need to update to the latest version - 11.2.6

There were huge updates to the exchange support.

Choose 'check for updates' under the 'Help' menu.

It's free!

Hi Barry,
I got 11.2.5. Is there a big difference between 11.2.5 and 11.2.6?
If yes, I will ask our MAC-Admins to install 11.2.6

With 11.2.5 I can see the Button "Open Other User's Folder...".
When I type in a name of a user who want's to share the calendar the
name could be found. Now I choose calendar and push OK and the
following error appears.

The folder of the user couldn't be found.
The mailbox which belongs to the user couldn't be found.

Why, what's going wrong?

I tell you my account settings, maybe there is something missing.

I have five areas. Account settings, options, advanced, in proxy (I
don't know if it's the right translation) and security.

Under advanced I have a field "Server for public folders" and it's
empty. What do I have to type in this field if my Exchange Server
Configuration is a common one?

Under LDAP-Server I typed in the field our ADC, is this right?

And then, there is a field "Search Base" and it's empty. It's that OK?

For entourage, 11.2.5 is the latest version. The 11.2.6 office update didn't
touch the Entourage application, although it did update some important
support files.

If you are getting a 'not found' error, it is either because you are tryig
to connect to the other user's main calendar, but they haven't given you
access rights. Or you are trying to connect to one of their sub-folder
calendars, and they have given you access rights to that calendar, but not
their main one.

Hi Barry,
that's a fast answer. I didn't expect teh answer on sunday :)
That isn't the problem because if I use Outlook 2003 to access the
calendar it works fine. Do you have an other idea where the problem
could be?

Did you have a look on my account settings. Are they allright?
By the way I solved the problem with the public folders.

Hi Barry,
do you have any ideas how I can check what's going wrong?

Do I have to customize the settings on the Exchange Server ?

I have no more ideas what's the problem could be.
