Accessing same inbox from local AND Domain Login

Here is an easy one!!

I have a small 15 computer network setup with a PDC and
thats it. Most users login /logout to a fixed desktop.

I have 2 laptops I have setup with Win 2000. I login in,
loaded Outlook 2003 no issues. When they login to the
local computer then access Outlook, the inbasket is empty
or "new". I renamed the local user the same as the
network user then made the password the same. I copied an
pasted a shortcut from Domain user to local user desktop.
Now it tries to launch Exchange which we do not have or
want. How do I get this user to see the same inbasket on a
local login as a domain login??
