Accidental folder deletion

I accidentally deleted a folder that contains some emails
that I desperately need. I closed out after accidentally
deleted them which erased my "deleted items". I am
running XP. Is there any way I can recover them?

Yes in the Folder List of Outlook click the Deleted Items folder, then go to
Tools, Recover Deleted Items. A window will open that contains all of the
emails that have been deleted and have not surpassed that Deleted Items
Retention policy.

That works for when you are talking about an Exchange mailbox. If you were
using a pst-file follow the directions posted here;

I tried that and I do not have that option under tools.
