Account Lock out

I am using both an XP machine and a G4 running Entourage X to access
my email at the office through an Exchange 2000 server. When I open
Entourage in the morning to get my mail, randomly, the server will
lock up my account even though I have entered my password correctly.
Our network admins are getting tired of unlocking it for me. A have
logged into both machines successfully in the past, and logging in to
one system before the other does not make a difference. I cannot
duplicate the lockout procedure as it appears to happen randomly.
Anyone else have this happening to them? Know of a fix?

I get the same thing all the time. We are still using Exchange 5.5 but have
moved to Active Directory in mixed mode. I was hoping once we move to
Exchange 2003 this would clear up. The only think I can think of is that
the keychain is trying to authenticate even though that box is not checked
on. I don't even get the three tries like normal but will lock the account
on the first try.

I am in IT, so I have access to Active Directory Users and Computers. I
leave it up and when I launch Entourage, I quick click on my name and unlock
my account.

Note: I am note using the GAL nor the Calendar since these are not
supported in 5.5.

I don't have the solution to this problem but I am experiencing the
same problems. My problem just started this past Monday after we
upgraded our AD servers to 2003. The migration may have nothing to do
with the problem but certainly is suspect. I work in an IT shop where
only two of us use Macs, both 12" PB. The problem happens in either
Entourage or Mac Mail and appears to be random. Our shop has a very
good Exchange admin and he is helping me to determine the root cause
which I'll share as soon as we discover. I'm sure our Exchange guy is
getting sick of unlocking my account also!!. I first thought that
keychain might be causing the problem so I deleted the Exchange entry
and cleared the password fields in the Entourage setup. Logging back
into mail immediately produced the password prompt but entering my
password immediately produced the "IMAP" error dialog in both Mail and
Entourage. Please post any info you might come across and hopefully
one of us will find the solution soon. Thanks!!
