Accounts problem

I have been having problems with my ISP and/or Entourage and tried to
solve them by deleting the existing Entourage accounts for my partner
and me, and re-doing them.

The problem now is that when I try to switch identities, the switch
dialogue box only shows one account: "Main identity".

When I go to Tools, Accounts, the two mail accounts show with our
names. But I can't switch accounts (except, of course by changing the
default account, quitting and re-opening).

Also, having sent test messages from me to my partner and vice-versa,
all messages are showing in the inbox, regardless of who's account is
open.

I must be doing something wrong. Any help wil be much appreciated

The problem seems to lie in the confusion between accounts and identities.
An identity is an Entourage/Office user, with its own contacts, calendar
events, and folder structure. Any identity can include multiple accounts,
since one user might have multiple e-mail accounts. It sounds like what you
need to do is to create a new identity (File > Switch Identity) for the
other user. He can set up his account there, and then your Entourage data
will be totally separate.

Thanks Mickey — that's it!. I was certainly confused between accounts
and identities.

Everything seems OK now. Phew,
