Acrobat Adobe and Task Pane

Installation of Acrobat Adobe causes the startup task pane
in Office XP to close automatically about 1 second after
opening. There is a way to correct this problem, but I
can't find the fix anymore. Does anyone know what the fix
is or where it can be found?

Hi Mary,

In Office XP the taskpane will give way to an addin
that is loaded you can override it with a registry
change if you contact MS for the hotfix described here
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=810162&FR=1.

or you can use the workaround here from Bill Coan:
