Activation for swaping hardware components

Hi there:

A question for Office 2003 activation.

I am planning to change existing PC for the following components - (1) M/B
with onboard LAN and audio function, (2) DRAM type and size, (3) CPU, (4)
DVD-ROM. The primary hard drive will remain as the same, and I wonder if
this will result in a second activation request for the installed Office
2003?

Hi, xfile,

I don't know that anyone in a peer support group would know Microsoft's
algorithm for what causes or doesn't cause a request for re-activation.
However, if you have to re-activate, and if Internet activation fails, you
can use the telephone method of activation and explain the hardware change
to the person on the phone.
