Activities Tab on Contact screen

Having accessed the activities screen on Contact screen listing all emails for contact, I wanted to add further fields to the report. I added date sent and senders email. Having returned to contact screen the system will no longer allow me to open activities tab for ANY contact and displays error message as follows ' Outlook cannot display this view. Could not complete the operation. One or more parameter values are not valid.

How do I reolve this problem

I am using Windows XP Home and Office 2002
