Add a shared calendar without a new "From:" (Exchange)

Hi,

i've just added the (12) calendars of my colleagues. It works!

The problem:
Now i have 14 (12 accounts auf my colleagues + my exchange and a pop account) items in my "From"-Drop Down - every time i want to write a mail, make an appointement, ... This is awful because i have to change between my two "real" accounts frequently.

Any ideas?

Hi Hans!

This sounds like you've either added the calendars as delegates or
you've manually set up each account using each user's name and password.

You want to have your colleagues *share* their calendars and you want to
connect using File --> Open Other User's Folder...

Hope this helps!

hi bill,

thanks for your reply.

no, my delegate tab is empty an i have just one exchange entry in my account settings.

connect using File --> Open Other User's Folder...

this is the way i have added the calendars. and i _really_ have 14 entries in my "from"-drop-down.

Hi Hans!

I've replicated what you're seeing and I can understand your problem.

I have a test setup with Diane Ross through a friend's server and I'm
checking an idea. If I still reproduce your problem then I'll escalate
to Microsoft. I've found that even when connected with Reviewer
privileges I'm able to send messages under that account, which is not good.

Will keep yo posted.

Hi Hans!

So, with a shared item like the Inbox or Calendar I find that I'm unable
to send on behalf of the person sharing even though I can see that
person's account in my From list, which is what I was expecting.

I'll bring your problem to Microsoft's attention but you should do so as
well using Help --> Send Feedback in any Office application.
