add hours/minutes in Excel.

DJJBUTCHER

I use an excel sheet to add hours worked over 5 days. The result looks is
about 39hrs 03 mins, for example, but the cell shows (In this instance)
15:03.
The result has divided by 24 to get 1 day,15hrs 03 mins, without displaying
the day. I reformatted the cell to show 1:15:03, but how do I get it to
display 39:03?
Thanks.

You are in the PowerPoint NewsGroup instead of the Excel group, but have you
tried selecting the file, clicking "Format", "Cells", click the "Number" TAB
and set it to a "Date/Time" or "Custom" for "mm:ss"?

Hi, This is the PowerPoint newsgroup.

But you can set the cell format to custom and enter [h]:mm to get the
desired result.
