add languages to office

L

Lukas

I purchased the office professional. As I do not write only in English, but
mostly in German, French or Czech, I would like to add the spelling controll
features for these languages. I can not believe that they are not on the CD
(wich costs pretty much). Can anybody help me?

You will need to purchase the MUI CD from Microsoft. English (north
american) Office version only support French, English and Spanish.

Hi Lukas,

You didn't mention which language base edition you purchased.
The English language editions include proofing tools for North America -
English, French and Spanish. Other localized editions also
include different sets of regional language tools as shown here:
http://www.microsoft.com/office/editions/prodinfo/language/localized.mspx

You can get the entire set by purchasing the Office 2003 Proofing
Tools Kit. In the US Microsoft is the retailer, outside the U.S
it's all 3rd party suppliers.

I'm having the same problem. I can't create my own topic don't know why
anyways. The problem I'm having is that you can't buy (in any stores I know
of which languages are only in Danish/English/German which sucks)my native
language for Microsoft Office 2007... Only my school has it. How can I
possibly get it?
Btw it is Faroese/Føroyskt
Please help me!

You didn't mention the language you're trying to add.
You can add single language packs to get additional proofing tools in Office 2007, but if you're trying to add an English language
interface then you'll need to purchase the recently released retail edition of the Office 2007 Multi-language Pack.

The Single Language Packs (English not sold separately) can be purchased through
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/suites/FX102113661033.aspx

The Office 2007 Multi-language pack (with English UI) is sold by retailers. It's listed on Amazon.com (at least in the U.S. - ignore
the part of the listing that says it's been available since Oct 2, 2001 <g>), among others.

Bob Buckland ?:), it is Faroese/Føroyskt. The wierd thing is that my school
has it and it isn't available for us in public...
They use Office 2003. Could I perhaps download the language package from
Office 2003 and use it for Office 2007?
