I would simply install a blog without using FP. You would need to decide on a
good bloging system, download it and follow their documentation on what to
upload. I believe you can use FP's FTP transfer to do this.
As for improving page rank, it depends what information you put into the
blog. Page rank, (lets call it PR) is mostly based on :
a) your content
b) how often you update your site (new pages, etc)
c) how many sites with good PR link to you
d) what links are on your site (linking to other sites with a high PR gives
you points), and the opposite, linking to sites with PR 0 deducts you points.
e) meta tags can help you (google it up)
This is true, correct me if I'm wrong, for google searching. Many things are
taken into consideration when google, or other search engines give you page
ranks. I have only mentioned a few.
