Adding a date to a watermark

I'm looking for a way to add a date time to a watermark that updates each time the document is opened or printed. Can this done? Welcome any feedback.

If you're happy with the watermark being horizontal or vertical, you can do
it by putting a date field into a text box. Choose a large, black-face font,
set to a light color and positioned behind everything else.

I'm looking for a way to add a date time to a watermark that updates each
