Adding Contact Info to Appointments in Microsoft Outlook

A

amandaj

I need to have the address and phone number automatically entered into a
field in my appointments, and be seen when I print out the calendar page.
Currently I must type everything I want seen on the print out into the
subject field or the location field. Is there anyway to click a button
somewhere to attach the info and make it visible on the print out without
having to go through wasting my time typing everything over and over
everytime i set an appointment?

G'Day Amanda,

The following applies to Outlook 2003:

View your Contacts, then click 'Folder List' to see:
Folder list at Left, Contacts in main window centre&right.

With the RIGHT Mouse button, drag a Contact and drop it on
the 'Calendar' Folder.

In the option menu that appears, select 'Copy here as Appointment with Text'

Does this help?

Is there any way to automatically put this information in the header instead
of the text part of the task?

Hello,

I am very dissapointed that in Outlook 2007 I can no longet drag a contact
over to my calendar to create an appointment. What is Microsoft thinking by
de-featuring an upgrade!

Now I have to open the contact and got to the Move To menu and chose copy to
and the choose calendar. Then I have to close the contact... what a hassle!

Am I missing something or did Microsoft blow this?

Thanks!

I don't know Milly, that's why I asked.

Do you know something that I don't?

If so, why don't you share?

Thanks!

I'm dissapointed also-with 2007 outlook. Have you found a simple answer to
transfer contact info to a calendar appt slot??????-Fred

D

Diane Poremsky

dragging creates a meeting request here - I drag it to the button and drop.

btw - you should be able to select the contact and use the Edit menu for
copy - no need to open.

Jim

I've been wondering how to do this for a long time, so great info, but I'd
like to know if you can auto populate the address of the contact in the
locations field, not in the notes.

thanks,

Jim
