Adding logos to autosignatures?? Good idea or bad.

Can anyone answer this question.

My organisation wants to add its logo and possibly a red line t
autosignatures.

We had mocked up a test autosignature e-mail before but as expected
clients complained as it was either blocked by firewalls, was strippe
out or generated masses of bandwidth issues.

Is there a solution to this or is it best to not add graphics int
autosignatures even if you make the graphcs small.

HELP :)

We use a small logo (23K) and don't have many problems. Older email clients
(like outlook 97)will turn them in to attachments, but that's getting to be
less and less of a problem. Also, don't use some exotic font nobody has,
then all the receiver sees is symobls.

Ok. The font we would use would be standard (arial...) If we put
small graphic on a webserver and call it from there - you ar
suggesting that we should be ok?
