I am not able to drag and drop a photo in a contact under the personal tab. I have followed the guidelines athttp://www.entourage.mvps.org/troubleshoot/test_user.html and found that it appears to be a problem in my users file. However, I cannot figure out where the files are that they are saying to delete. Has anyone else had an issue with his/her user's folder and how do you fix? Thanks.

The files are located in your home's Preferences folder. You will find
them by opening your Macintosh HD and going to:

/Users/<your user name>/Library/Preferences

Hope this helps!

Yes, it did! Thank you! But...of course still no luck fixing the problem. Ahh! Ok, I deleted all the com.microsoft...plist files, tried it and nothing. Quit Entourage, tried it again, still nothing. If I create another user and log off switch to it, I can add pictures no problem. Do you think it might be a conflict then with one of my other preferences or applications? i have HP software of a All in one printer. I wonder if that might be it.

Some preferences are actually in the database itself. This type of
corruption is generally not cleared when you rebuild your database.

Did you try in a new Identity?

Steps to help determine where the problem is located.

1) you can eliminate your Identity by creating a new Identity in Entourage
and see if you experience the same problem.

2) if a new Identity still exhibits the same issues, then create a new User
in System Preferences and test Entourage there.

3) If the problems still exist in the new User, it's a problem with your
Office install or your base OS files.

Let's first be clear about the terms User, Identity and Account.

An identity is a complete personality of Entourage, containing (preferences,
account settings.

A User is a term used by the Mac OS. The terms Identity and User are often
confused. Creating a new User in System Preferences is a good way to test in
a clean environment.

Entourage stores your data in an Identity, and the Mac OS creates Users.

Your identity is named "Main" by default. It is located in the Microsoft
User Data folder. Creating a new Identity is a good way to test your
database to see if corruption is the problem.

Each identity can have (almost) any number of accounts. Each account is
associated with a distinct email address than can be used to send and/or
receive mail, but all mail is stored in the same database, all calendar
events are common to all the accounts, all notes & contacts are shared.

You can have multiple accounts in Entourage. Examples: POP, IMAP, Hotmail,
Gmail, AOL, Exchange, news accounts.
