Adding row to table in Publisher 2003?

S

Susan

I created a table in Publisher 2003 with two rows and four columns. I added
four pictures to the 1st row ( one in each column), and added the text in
the 2nd row (each text item to correspond with the picture above). Now I
wanted to add a row above the first 1st because I wanted to add a title,
then put a border around the table. But when I select Table, the first row,
and select Insert Row ABOVE, the row always ends up BELOW the row I
selected. What do I need to do?

Thanks for help!

I cannot duplicate this. Are you highlighting the complete row? You need to only
place your cursor in a cell, right-click, change table, insert, rows above. Your
table will not change position when you insert a row, it will become longer on the
bottom, you will have to adjust the positioning.

I just worked around it by inserting row below and moving objects from 1st
row to 2nd row.

I just inserted the row below and moved the objects from the first row
below, and merged cells above in 1st row and added title.

You can see table at bragart.org/Feb05.htm-- pictures are missing in hearts
but for web example but I don't care. They exist in the pub file which will
be printed.

Is there way to place border art around a table?

You are designing a web page... I tried to duplicate this as a Publisher project.

No I am not designing a web page. I just converted my pub file so that I
could post my work on web page so you could see what I was trying to do! If
I were designing a web page, I would use FrontPage.

I'm sorry, I get fuzzy every now and them. I looked at the web site. You do nice
work. I'm glad you worked out your table situation.

When I added a row the autoshape went with it and went behind the inserted row for
some reason even though the table has no fill. (clipart went behind too, you can see
it although it looked really strange) It is a weird bug. Maybe your image was there
all along...

Select the table, lines, more lines, click the middle preset preview, the BorderArt
becomes active.

Where is the more lines? I saw more colors. I could not get this to work. I
used select table, format table, etc. I could never get the Border Art to
become active.

Yes, I think I must have a bug. I got it to work a few times but the
majority of times I cannot get the Border Art to not be grayed out.
If you apply a normal line to your table border, are you able to go back and
change it to Border Art?
