adding sound file to coninually on all slides.

I have followed all of the things to do to add my music file but the fill
will not play when I right click the speaker with the drop down minue to play
sound.
The music file is about 6 and a half minutes long. I have added a music
file that is just over 3 minutes in length and it will play as the insturcted
and will install.
Adding the music to play continually also is a problem and I have follow all
of the instructions
I am using PowerPoint 2003

Jim,

the sound icon should play your sound when you view the slideshow


slideshow menu > view slideshow

if it does not....

what 'format' is the sound (e.g. wav midi mp3 etc)

what folder is the sound file in?
maybe it's too long a total path length (eg.. c:\here\there\everywhere) 128
characters is the limit. So try putting you sound file in c:\sounds then
re-insert the sound into powerpoint using

insert menu > sounds > from file
