This may be easy - or might be beyond my capabilities. I'd like to add a sound (wav file) to be heard when a recipient opens an e-mail. In this instance, it's a company-wide e-mail I'm sending to list March birthdays. I have a "Happy Birthday" wav file I'd like to automatically play when each recipient opens it
In the past, I've used Word to create the e-mail & formatted it as a web page. Then I could add a wav file (sometimes it took several times because I'd often get an error & Word would shut down whenever I tried to do this.) Now with our newest server upgrade on our network, I'm not able to send e-mails directly from Word so I'm just using the e-mail format in Outlook. I can insert the wave file, creating an icon for the recipient to click on - but I'd really like it to just play. I saw where you can create macros - but I've only done that in Excel & don't know where to begin in Outlook - or if that's even how I should do it
Can anyone help me with this
