Address book constantly opens!

No matter what program I'm using, whether it be Outlook or IE7 or anything,
the address book randomly opens up and takes focus. I looked in the options
and tried the office diagnostics tool but was unsuccessful. The only other
option is a complete uninstall and reinstall but I'd rather not do that if
there is any other workaround or fix for this problem because reinstalling is
a big pain. Any other ideas?

Do you possibly have a program running on your machine in the background
that might be trying to access the address book? Maybe something like an
instant messaging program?
