Address book no longer appears when I select it - it's not deletedbut "hidden"

Hi,

I¹ve got a horrible feeling I have deleted something and it is irreversible.
Up until a few days ago when I selected Address Book via any route, my
contact details appeared no problems.

Now all of a sudden instead of my Contact¹s details appearing, I get a
display of ³Folders On My Computer² that does not show my Address Book.

The Address Book information is still there as I can still address email
messages and select recipients. The only way I can see the Address Book
folder/file is when addressing an email by selecting ³Choose Address Book²
under the ³Address Book (on my computer)² dropdown in the addressing view.

I have compressed and rebuilt my Database in my Main Identity to no avail.

Any ideas......??

There's a little button in the upper-left-hand corner of your Main Window
that will take you to your Address Book(s). Can you switch to it and view
your contacts that way?

I don't think you can delete the address book, fortunately. Check in the
folder list (left-hand column) to see if you inadvertently clicked the
triangle and collapsed the "Folders on My Computer" icon and are simply
viewing the folder list. If so, click the triangle and select your Address
Book.

Thanks Dan. No all disclosure triangles are open revealing contents. Apart
from "Address Book" not appearing I do not see "calendar" either.

However I do not have any problems viewing the Calendar when I switch to it
unlike Address Book where I continually get a view of (all) "Folders On My
Computer" minus Address Book & Calendar.........

I may be misunderstanding you, but I don't think you should see a calendar
item in the Address Book module list, so I'm not sure what you mean when you
say you "don't see calendar either."

When you select the Address Book module by clicking the Address Book icon in
the tool bar (or selecting it from the View-->Go To-->Address Book menu), do
you see "Address Book Views" in that list? If so, what do you see when you
click on the custom view named "Personal Category"?

Under View in the Menu bar make sure "show mail folders only" is not
checked.
