Address Book settings

I'm using XP Pro with Outlook 2002. I just bought a new
hard drive and reinstalled all the software.
Unfortunately I forgot how to configure the address
book. My contacts are displayed last name, first name,
but my address book shows first name, last name. I have
tried everything I can think of to change the sequence.
What is the trick?

Tools>Email Accounts>View or change existing DIRECTORIES OR ADDRESS
BOOKS>Next>Change>Sort by at the bottom of the dialogue box
