address book...

In outlook on a PC you can call up the address book and it shows all
the contacts in exchange.

However in entourage 2004 it seems that you have to type a name in the
to: box to be able to call up a list of people that match.
Is there a way to have it so you can just call up a list of people -
without having to type the first few characters into the box?

Thanks

You should be able to see the list of people (at least those with email
addresses) if you bring up the "To" window and click the Address book
button.

Entourage 200 uses LDAP to query the Global Address Book. Through LDAP
the GAL is not browsable. You can only query it. You don;t really have
to do it from the To: field though, you ca use the DirectoryService
tool.

Yeah I do mean with exhange.

So you do have to query the LDAP server and can't just bring up the
global address list then!?

OK then so be it.

Thanks for your help

Yeah, I know it's different but I realized than I never actually browser
the GAL anyway. I always type at least a few letters so I don;t miss the
feature that much personnaly :-\
